Looking for one near you?
They can be hard to find. In an APA survey reported in 2018, 5.5% of US psychologists said they could work in Spanish.
Here, sessions are by video, so your psychologist doesn't need to be in your city. Psyred has no offices in the US. To see someone in person, look for a local therapist.
Where they're from
Psyred connects you with independent psychologists from Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, Mexico, and Costa Rica.
Their licenses are from Latin America or Spain, and none holds a US state license.

Questions
How much does a session cost?
Sessions cost $15 to $30 USD depending on the psychologist, with no requirements. With a socioeconomic assessment, proyecto terapia offers sessions at $10 USD. The exact price is on each profile before you book. There is no subscription.
Are the psychologists licensed in my state?
No. If you want insurance to cover therapy, or need a report with legal validity in the US, a therapist licensed in your state is the better fit.
Can I use my insurance?
No. Psyred doesn't bill insurance, and you don't need it to book. You pay for each session.
Is everything in Spanish?
Sessions are in Spanish, over Google Meet, and so are the profiles and checkout. If you'd like to switch between languages, 4 bilingual psychologists also work in English.
Does therapy by video work as well as in person?
A 2021 meta-analysis found a negligible difference between the two. Results were strongest with cognitive behavioral therapy and for anxiety, depression and PTSD.
What if I don't connect with my psychologist?
If you attended your first session and didn't feel a connection, you can ask within 7 days for a session with another psychologist at the accessible rate. It applies once per patient, and you get a credit to book it.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
You can reschedule for free up to 1 hour before the appointment, as many times as you need. If you cancel 24 hours or more in advance, you can ask for a full refund. With less notice, the payment stays as credit for another session for 6 months.
What if I need help right now?
Psyred isn't an emergency service. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or call 911.
