Bilingual therapists online
Psychologists from Latin America who work in English and Spanish, by video, from any US state
From $15 per session · no insurance needed
Bilingual psychologists you can book

Sessions can be in English. Their profiles and checkout are in Spanish.
Why see a bilingual therapist?
Some things are easier to say in one language. The APA reports that Spanish-speaking clients may shift from English to Spanish when recounting emotional experiences. A study it cites found they often feel less comfortable sharing personal information with an English-speaking therapist, even with an interpreter.
Looking for one near you?
You meet by video, so distance doesn't matter. Psyred has no offices in the US. To see someone in person, look for a local therapist.
Where they're from
Sharon is from Bolivia, Isabella is from Colombia, Emilio is from Venezuela, and Mario is from Colombia. They work independently, and Psyred connects you with them.
Their licenses are from Latin America or Spain, and none holds a US state license.

Questions
Can my sessions be in English?
Yes. Each psychologist on this page works in English and Spanish. Tell yours at the start which you prefer.
Is the rest of the site in English?
No. You book on pages in Spanish: pick a time, pay by card or PayPal, and get the Google Meet link by email.
How much does a session cost?
$15 to $30 USD, depending on the psychologist and the rate you choose. There is no subscription.
Are they licensed in my state, and can I use insurance?
No to both. If you want insurance to cover therapy, or need a report with legal validity in the US, a therapist licensed in your state is the better fit.
Does therapy by video work as well as in person?
A 2021 meta-analysis found a negligible difference between the two.
Do they see couples?
Sharon and Emilio do. See couples therapy in Spanish for how it works.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
You can reschedule for free up to 1 hour before the appointment, as many times as you need. If you cancel 24 hours or more in advance, you can ask for a full refund. With less notice, the payment stays as credit for another session for 6 months.
What if I don't connect with my psychologist?
If you attended your first session and didn't feel a connection, you can ask within 7 days for a session with another psychologist at the accessible rate. It applies once per patient, and you get a credit to book it.
What if I need help right now?
Psyred isn't an emergency service. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or call 911.
